RealStep offers an online international volunteering training program to enhance the value of a project abroad. Divided into 5 modules, this program allows you to train in sustainable development and complete your practical experience in the field! At the end of the course, students receive a certificate issued by the Centre for Global Citizenship Studies and the National Open College Network (UK).
The next generation of students will need empathetic experiences linked to their studies in order to be able to evolve in an increasingly complex and connected world. Our international volunteering program offers a competent education that will ultimately enable them to work in NGOs.
This qualification offers students the opportunity to demonstrate the understanding and knowledge relevant to applying for funding and completing a contracted internship. For those wishing to further a career in sustainable development, a certification that complements practical skills is an asset for accessing employment opportunities in the humanitarian sector.
The level 3 certificate from the international volunteering course is a UK-accredited qualification equivalent to 20 ECTS. If you are currently enrolled at a university and wish to use these credits to validate a module or work placement, please consult your international mobility officer beforehand. Each university decides whether or not these credits can be accumulated with those they award.
This online international volunteering course covers around 50 hours of learning, divided between before, during and after the project work experience. Students can choose to divide the training between 2 months and 1 year, depending on their schedule and the timing imposed by their school.
The aim of this course is to enable participants to develop the knowledge needed to :
Orientation module (4h) Explore the program’s structure and various activities, go over the methods used for assessments and program expectations.
Module 1. Preparing for a humanitarian mission. Introduction to the notion of culture to help you understand the responsibilities of a volunteer.

Module 3: Financing a humanitarian project The aim is to develop your skills and explore fund-raising strategies.

Our mission is to help our participants and staff discover what they are capable of achieving.
We want to help you turn your passion into a vocation to make a positive impact in a changing world.
We also aim to emancipate participants by exploring the world, experiencing different cultures so that they understand the issues at stake in the places they visit.
We also learned that interpersonal links are at the heart of the experience. When people from all over the world, with different experiences and skills, come together, anything is possible.
