This humanitarian internship abroad in construction will take you to the mountainous kingdom of Eswatini, where you’ll work with our team in our accommodation.
Participants’ tasks :
Your role may include assisting as a site clerk, inventorying materials, maintaining personnel records, monitoring inventory and other appropriate tasks during the construction process, appropriate tasks during the construction process.
The role can include all parts of the planning, design and construction process for partner projects. Examples include painting and decorating, demolition, construction of temporary structures, masonry and construction, landscaping, green space management, installation of drinking water purifiers, etc.
Schedule:
7am: wake-up and breakfast
7:30 am: travel to the course site and preparation.
8am: start of the day’s work on the project.
12pm: lunch!
12:30 pm: start of afternoon work session
3pm: return to accommodation.
6:30pm: dinner.
Itinerary:
Day 1: Meet the team in South Africa who will transfer you to your accommodation.
Day 2: You’ll discover the country’s culture through a day of orientation, to get to know the country better.
Day 3: Meet the project team, with whom you’ll be working. You’ll get off to a good start on the construction project, and also discuss the results of the course.
Days 4-5 and other days of the week: after the first project group meeting, you’ll be free to organize your week. You’ll decide which days you’ll work in the field, and which days you’ll be in the office, doing research. It’s up to you to decide how you’ll be most useful to the project.
Days 6-7 and other weekend days: all weekends are free for you to relax or see other landscapes.
Departure day: end of your humanitarian internship abroad in construction. You will be transferred from your accommodation to the airport for your return flight.

You will stay in a lodge in Ezulwini Valley.
Half-board includes breakfast and lunch.
For a stay of less than 90 days, a visa is not required for UK citizens.
