The organization operates more than 20 shops across the country. The funds raised are used for research, information dissemination, and awareness campaigns to fight cancer.
Like all of our social environment internships, this program in Ireland offers a meaningful and lasting impact on the region while allowing participants to validate their academic year.
The project is locally managed by a salaried coordinator and a dedicated team of local volunteers who oversee the sorting center and charity shop activities, making home visits and assistance to the region’s most vulnerable possible.
Expect to work around 30 hours per week. Participants in this social internship are expected to be proactive, take initiative, and demonstrate autonomy. Working in a charity shop requires flexibility in tasks and schedules—participants adapt to the needs of the organization, not the other way around.
Beyond the charity shop, you may also be involved in other projects to broaden your experience. Join city clean-up efforts alongside other participants. Lead various community and sports activities depending on current needs and your level of engagement.
Among other activities, you may take part in the “Tidy Towns” competition, an annual contest in Ireland that rewards the most attractive and well-maintained towns and villages! For many years, this competition has encouraged local communities to enhance their environment.
