The program takes place in around ten hostels across Australia, your localtion will depend on their needs and your skills.
Work in exchange for free accommodation in more than 10 hostels across Australia and New Zealand, in a dynamic and friendly work environment.
The program’s tasks are mainly in the fields of hospitality and tourism, but can extend to other broader areas if you show commitment and motivation: social media, marketing, event planning, etc.
Positions are available year-round in Australia and only during the summer in New Zealand (departures only between September and October). For detailed conditions, please contact us.
The first week will be dedicated to your informal orientation within the hostel. You can participate in local excursions (surf initiation, trips to the Blue Mountains, or kayaking with dolphins) to get familiar with the region.
You can also take part in the hostel’s daily events to better promote them to guests.
You will work alongside the maintenance manager to understand the layout of different room types and accommodation standards. You will then begin a fully supervised reception training.

After two weeks, you should be fully trained in reception tasks and will enjoy greater autonomy.
Working hours will depend on the requirements and duration of your placement. This can range between 24 to 38 hours per week.
If you are skilled in marketing and comfortable with English, you may have greater flexibility in your assignments. Responsibilities can evolve quickly based on your motivation and skills.
There is no formal orientation, but the first week is dedicated to participating in hostel activities and exploring some local visits when possible. You will meet your supervisor early on for an overview of the role, expectations, and team introductions.
Full-time is preferred to help you get the most out of the experience, but part-time may be considered depending on your profile. It is important to note that part-time interns may not receive all the benefits or compensation offered to full-time interns.
There is no specific confirmation deadline, but we do our best to notify you as early as possible so you can prepare with peace of mind.
We offer general internships in reception/hospitality throughout the year in various locations in Australia for this program. If you have a specific goal, we will do our best to guide you and match your expectations.
