Program description

As soon as you arrive in Auckland, we’ll help you find a paid internship abroad or a seasonal job. During the first week, you’ll stay in a hostel in Auckland and take part in various activities to familiarize yourself with your new environment. For the next 3 weeks, you’ll take English classes to prepare you for working in an English-speaking environment.

Like all our programs, the Working Holiday in Auckland offers training followed by employment in a local organization. It’s a complete professional experience, coupled with cultural immersion.

How the week of support to find your paid internship abroad unfolds

Day 1: Arrival in Auckland – Airport transfer

No need to look for your bus stop, you’ll be transferred from door to door! Take advantage of this day to relax and get to know other travelers as they begin their adventure.

Day 2: Group orientation, city tour, evening activities

Meet the team at 10 a.m. at the hostel for an initial briefing. Then, a walking tour of Auckland with a local coordinator who will accompany you to the bank to open your bank account, get your sim card and IRD tax number. The afternoon and evening are free to explore more of Auckland with your group.

Day 3: NZ employment workshop, presentation and evening with the group

You’ll find out everything you need to know about working and traveling. You’ll take part in our employment workshop to tailor your CV to local employers, and we’ll look at the types of positions available for paid internships abroad or seasonal jobs.

We’ll organize a country presentation on places to visit on the North and South Islands – and the best times to visit. We’ll end the day by taking a ferry to Devonport, an Auckland village on the edge of the bay, where we’ll dine in a local restaurant with the group.

Day 4: Job placement workshop

New information day on the theme of work and mobility. The team will be on hand for several hours to provide you with all the help or additional advice you need to find a seasonal job or paid internship abroad.

Days 5 – 6 – 7: Excursions and activities on Bay of Island

Return to Auckland on day 7 and transfer to your host family to begin your 3-week English course. You now have all the keys to the New Zealand job market, as well as unlimited access to a job board. Classes last 15 hours a week, and most students use their free time to look for seasonal work.

Guaranteed job option (+500€):

Find a paid internship abroad before you leave! That way, you’ll have the support you need before you leave, so you can enjoy the start of your trip with complete peace of mind!
