You will find Whistler in the Coastal Mountain range of British Columbia, just two hours north of Vancouver. This legendary resort is an international hub for mountain sports and a down-to-earth mountain town. Two side-by-side mountains, connected by the world-record-breaking PEAK 2 PEAK gondola, provide access to the famous alpine terrain of Whistler Blackcomb, attracting hikers, skiers, and mountain bikers in search of breathtaking views. At a lower altitude, a coastal climate offers a lush contrast to the volcanic alpine environment. Sparkling glacier-fed lakes, towering ancient forests, waterfalls, beaches, parks, and golf courses are connected by a network of paved trails in the valleys. The place is bustling with life.
Once on site, with an average wage of about CAD15/hour, students typically manage to earn between €10,000 and €12,000 over the year, which more than covers the on-site expenses for the rest of the year.
