Go to South Africa for a break in English with lessons, while having a positive impact on sustainable development. This is a course program in English, immersed in this English-speaking environment, with a volunteer mission carried out in parallel. Strengthen your language skills with theoretical and practical learning, and contribute to a sustainable development plan, also on a humanitarian project!
The school is located close to the city center, Table Mountain and the beaches. It has 14 spacious classrooms, a lounge equipped with a television, wifi access, a swimming pool, a garden with a barbecue available to students on this English gap year course. There are plenty of opportunities to make friends and practice English, even after class! Following this month of learning, participate in a volunteer mission in the heart of local communities.
We guarantee teaching that meets demanding standards, and mobilize competent and qualified teachers. Our teachers are selected for their dynamism and their personality: the lessons are both fun and very complete. You will not only study English: you will rub shoulders with students from all over the world and have unforgettable experiences.
Like all of our programs for a gap year in English with animals, this project in South Africa allows you to benefit from professional experience while having a positive and lasting impact on the region’s ecosystems.
The English gap year allows students to choose from a wide range of volunteer projects, as they are more flexible in terms of destination: they can effectively choose to stay in Cape Town to participate in a community or educational project, or choose another destination in South Africa. Available projects: animal volunteering in Kruger Park, environmental projects, education projects, etc.
For all animal and environmental projects, please note that an additional cost will be applied. Please contact us to receive a detailed quote based on the desired project.
The program includes a minimum of 4 weeks of English classes, followed by a minimum of 2 weeks of volunteer work in the field with our partner NGO.
The assignment depends on the skills and profile of the participants. A telephone interview and a registration file (CV and motivation letter) will determine the placement of the volunteers on educational projects ranging from childcare to the organisation of extracurricular activities and tutoring / assistance in schools for those with the most training.
This gap year course in English is an opportunity for you to combine a language stay and a humanitarian mission. If you are more interested in an internship, find here all our internships in Cape Town.
