Paid internship or work study program abroad

Paid internship or work study program abroad
Posted on 4 December 2024

Another alternative for financing your stay abroad is a working holiday, or paid internship abroad.

What is the difference between internship grants and work and study programs?

Internship grants are focused primarily on gaining professional experience with financial support, whereas work and study programs focus on balancing work with academic study, often as part of a formal educational program.

Internship grants are generally funds provided to support an internship experience, which may or may not be paid. Work and study programs often involve earning wages or stipends from the work, in addition to academic learning.

Internship grants are typically for short-term, field-related work experience, while work and study programs are longer-term arrangements that blend employment and education.

Working Holiday Visa definition
