Émilie tells us about her ecosystem restoration internship in Thailand

WHAT MISSIONS WERE ENTRUSTED TO US ON SITE?

During my internship I was able to carry out various tasks such as :

• Protect terrestrial ecosystems and the local communities that depend on them,
• Researching restoration
• Monitor forest cover expansion via aerial surveys.
• Creation of biodiversity corridors.

WHAT THIS INTERNSHIP HAS GIVEN ME

I learned a lot about forest management in another country, both technically and in terms of relationships with the various players involved.
From a personal point of view, it also enabled me to refine my professional and academic plans .

DO I RECOMMEND THIS PROJECT?

Yes, because this site allows us to be autonomous and take very concrete action in the field. What's more, even though we've been assigned one mission, we also take part in other ongoing missions (seagrass beds, mangroves, corals, elephants...).*
