I'd say I've always wanted to do humanitarian work. The opportunity presented itself on my 50th birthday, when I had to choose a trip.
From a love of felines and in view of the declining animal population, I preferred to make myself useful at this feline sanctuary near Kimberley in South Africa.
This experience enabled me to get to know these animals and their needs better, and to contribute to their well-being by helping to prepare meals, clean and build new enclosures... What's more, as I'm an aromatherapist for pets and hadn't really found any research work on the net or other documents concerning wildlife, it enabled me to gain my own experience in this field.
For me, this adventure is and will remain, I think one of my best memories in general.
I would recommend Cat Farm to others so that enthusiasts like the people there can perpetuate the rescue of endangered animals and maintain a balanced ecosystem that we all need.
Freepackers and Realstep have taken great care in organizing this project so that we can enjoy it fully and serenely before, during and after the adventure. A responsive team that knows how to advise according to each person's needs and desires.
